Wandering around down in the south of England, during the amazing winter snows of 2009. This was not shot in black and white — it’s a colour photo! But the snow had muted all the colour in the world — it was amazing, like walking in a black and white reality!

This is one of the most awesome trees I’ve ever seen! And you know I take a lot of pictures of trees!

Well, these leaves are worth a peep or two! Shot right in Concord Center, while my mom and the dogs waited impatiently!

Can anyone identify this fungus among us?
(Title paying tribute to the delightful “Badger Badger Badger” song.)

The smoke of my own breath;
Echoes, ripples, buzz’d whispers, love-root, silk-thread, crotch and vine;
My respiration and inspiration, the beating of my heart, the passing of blood and air through my lungs;
The sniff of green leaves and dry leaves, and of the shore, and dark-color’d sea-rocks, and of hay in the barn;
The sound of the belch’d words of my voice, words loos’d to the eddies of the wind;
A few light kisses, a few embraces, a reaching around of arms;
The play of shine and shade on the trees as the supple boughs wag;
The delight alone, or in the rush of the streets, or along the fields and hill-sides;
The feeling of health, the full-noon trill, the song of me rising from bed and meeting the sun.
Understanding Tulipomania

Tulip mania or tulipomania was a period in the Dutch Golden Age during which contract prices for bulbs of the recently introduced tulip reached extraordinarily high levels and then suddenly collapsed. At the peak of tulip mania in February 1637, tulip contracts sold for more than 10 times the annual income of a skilled craftsman. It is generally considered the first recorded speculative bubble (or economic bubble). The term "tulip mania" is now often used metaphorically to refer to any large economic bubble (when asset prices deviate from intrinsic values).
What’s white and red all over?
If anyone can identify this purty flower, please leave a comment! Or, if you can come up with a good flower joke….
Cherry Blossoms are particularly photogenic
I’ve never taken a bad picture of cherry blossoms. They just don’t have any side that isn’t their, “good side.”
