Portraits of Pywacket

Portrait of Pyewacket 1

When I was in MA for my last visit, my aunt asked me to do some pet portraits of her beloved kitties. Here are two of her little boy, Pywacket, who is quite a looker!

Spring flowers and portraits

It might not seem like spring in some places, but San Francisco is having April showers and May flowers already. (The joys of living in Northern California become even more obvious once you plant a garden, even a tiny container one like the one on our balcony.)

Here are some spring flowers, and also a couple great portraits from a recent shoot for web-design client Dr Megan Parker and her wife.

Two fresh new Datura stramonium rise up in the early spring sunshine, almost growing as you watch them...

Obviously, I’ve been having waaaay too much fun with the AF Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 Lens. Doesn’t the bokeh in the last one look piles of copper coins? (A small — very small! — fortune.)

The images below were shot with the AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.4 Classic Portrait Lens, and then I had some fun with them in Photoshop…
